A 21-year-old Hampton man was killed in a shooting last night in Newport News, police said.
Gunshots were reported at 9:04 p.m. in the 400 block of King Arthur Court, said Officer Harold Eley, a police spokesman.
Witnesses told police they saw three men in an SUV in a parking lot, Eley said. The driver got out and fired shots at the victim.
The man was shot in the arms and buttocks and was pronounced dead at 9:50 p.m. at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Eley said.
Police were looking for the men in the SUV.
The name of the victim was not released because his family had not been notified, Eley said.
