Thousands walk through Norfolk for breast cancer research

NORFOLK

More than 6,000 people made tracks through downtown Norfolk on Saturday at the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" 3K walk starting at Harbor Park.

According to a news release from the American Cancer Society, the event raised more than $350,000 for research and other programs.

The Norfolk event was one of 140 held across the country, according to the release.
