A student accused of having a weapon on school grounds pleaded guilty Monday.

Administrators at Granby High School found an unloaded gun on the 16-year-old student last month, after another student told a teacher about the weapon. The boy is scheduled to be sentenced next month in juvenile court, according to Amanda Howie, commonwealth’s attorney spokeswoman.

Welcome to Granby, Please Leave your Pistol at Home...

Will someone PLEASE install metal detectors in Norfolk schools? Or are we waiting for enough murders to justify the expense?

Identify him

Heaven forbid you identify this hood. You wouldn't want his neighbors to know that they need to be extra vigilant. 16, with a gun in school! He will get a slap on the wrist and be returned to the community to re-offend because we don't want to see our youths face the penalty that they should be facing, or hurt their ego or feelings. What a joke. Lock this punk up and punish him harshly! No easy trip to school (what they hoods call prison/jail).
