One killed, one hurt in house fire in Grandy, N.C.

One person was killed and another injured in a house fire in Grandy early Tuesday morning, said Currituck County spokesman Randall Edwards.

Authorities have not released a name or details of how the fire started.

The fire at 128 Dot Sears Road was reported at 1:53 a.m. Tuesday morning, Edwards said.

Another person was injured and transported to Albemarle Hospital, he said. The Lower Currituck Fire Department and the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office responded.
