Beach woman accused of sending pot, porn to jailed boyfriend

A woman was in jail Wednesday after authorities accused her of sending marijuana, pornography and other banned items to her incarcerated boyfriend.

Kelly Arnold, 33, of Virginia Beach was arrested in connection with the items that arrived in the mail Oct. 7 at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center. Sheriff’s spokeswoman Paula Miller said the mail included about a half ounce of marijuana, a half ounce of tobacco, matches and pornographic material.

Arnold is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, delivery of drugs to a prisoner and unauthorized delivery of articles to a prisoner, Miller said.

Since matches are classified as weapons, Arnold also was charged with delivery of a weapon to a prisoner, Miller said.
