VIRGINIA BEACH
Police arrested 82 people during a three-day fugitive sweep last week, an official said.
Police spokesman Jimmy Barnes said Chesapeake police and Naval Criminal Investigative Services officials worked with about 45 Virginia Beach officers to make the arrests last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
In all, police served 119 warrants on charges ranging from rape to failing to appear in court.
