CHESAPEAKE

Police are looking for a man who broke into the home of an 83-year-old man, stole a credit card and was believed to have used it later at three stores.

The burglary happened some time between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 14 in the 2300 block of Bugle Drive East, police wrote in a news release.

When the victim discovered the burglary he called his credit card company to cancel the card, police wrote. The company alerted him that two purchases had been made the night of the crime.

The first purchase was made at 9:36 p.m. at the Target on the Ring Road at Chesapeake Square, according to police. A video camera recorded the man using stolen card.

About 10 minutes later, a second purchase was made at Toys R Us on Portsmouth Boulevard, according to police. At 1:26 a.m. on Nov. 15, the card was used at Wal-Mart on College Drive in Suffolk.

The man who was using the card was wearing a camouflage jacket, black shirt and Redskins pants, the pictures show.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Chesapeake Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
