Photos: The November '09 nor'easter in Virginia Beach

Posted to: News Storms Virginia Beach Weather

A new high water record has been set by the November nor'easter, at least by Jeff Evans' standards. He records the high water level on a column on the porch of his home on Broad Bay Island are of Virginia Beach, and this flooding trounced the double nor'easters of the mid 1990's and beat out Hurricane Isabel by a half foot, coming in at around 3 feet yesterday. He had about 18 inches of water in his home. (Vicki Cronis-Nohe | The Virginian-Pilot)
