CHESAPEAKE

The 39th Annual Chesapeake Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Great Bridge Jaycees’ annual Christmas Parade have been rescheduled for Sunday due to the inclement weather forecasted for Saturday.

The times for both remain the same. The tree lighting will be at 5 p.m. in front of City Hall and the parade steps off at 6 p.m. at Colon L. Hall Stadium on Mount Pleasant Road.

Spectators are asked to bring canned food items to donate when the Great Bridge Presbyterian Church float goes by. Michael Cuddeyer of the Minnesota Twins will be the parade grand marshal.
