and to drive on with the image of that picture in ones mind, however when one is passing a sign that says "Read Me" and is driving while reading the flashing text they have lost all concepts of safe driving at that point, Can't you just imagine slowing down to read an advertisement and you are peering to your right, when a child on a bicycle comes out from your left, think about it. Is the tax that the city is receiving worth the consequences ? I think not.

I do not see any positive reason for the signs. They are distracting and certainly a safety hazard. As I understand it, they do not bring in any revenue for the City although they are all about the money for the advertiser and the sign company. The City spends a lot of money on beautification. Why would we want to turn it into Uglyville?

Pictures are much more attractive than a bunch of words. A usual the ocuncil is inside out on an issue.

This has got to be one of the most insane ideas the City of Va Beach has bought into in quite awhile. Drivers are already distracted with cell phones and all the other stupid things people do while driving. Where is the logic and common sense behind Va. Beach City Council?
Or is this as usual about money and getting it? The time to WAKE UP is NOW.
To Va. Beach City Council: Go visit the beautiful landscape of Wales and see how people treat their landscape.
