A 28-year-old Virginia Beach man was charged in connection with two burglaries in the Michaels Woods area of the city, a Hampton police news release said.
Yaree Markeeba Woods was charged with two counts of breaking and entering and two counts of grand larceny.
Police said that between Jan. 31 and Feb. 16, five homes in the Michaels Woods area were broken into and miscellaneous items taken. Stolen property included cash, jewelry, televisions and other electronic equipment.
Woods was being held in Virginia Beach on unrelated charges, police said.
