y all of a sudden people are complaining? i heard noone complain about BUSH for 2 terms as he was starting a war that was unnecessary,i mean he was taking continuing from where his PAPPY left off. so some people need to shut up and let OBAMA do his thing as americans noone should be HOMELESS,WITHOUT HEALTH CARE, AND ALL OF THE ABOVE.I AM ASHAMED TO BE AN AMERICAN BECAUSE WE DONT STICK TOGETHER LIKE OTHER COUNTRIES DO Y CANT WE?
Doing nothing has gone on too long
People were complaining the President was doing nothing. Well he's done something now! Too many past politicians have let this issue go for too long. If any of the complainers have ideas how to do it any better, feel free to step up and do so. I still think a single payer system would have the most bargaining power with the medical industry to get prices back to reasonable again, but if one country sized Federal group doesn't appeal to you, then do it on the state level and have 50 groups (lower population states will have a harder time). Law suits trying to shoot down the new bill amount to a frivolous waste of time and money, and it could be better spent on practically anything else.

I do agree with Anon4242, that past Presidents from both parties have done nothing to resolve the healthcare issue. However, I completely disagree with how our current President has implemented it. I have honestly lived without health insurance in the past, due to layoffs or corporate downsizing. However, I have never attempted or expected anyone else to pickup my tab. At the same time, I shouldn't have to pay for someone else's healthcare expenses either. Our Federal Government shouldn't have the right nor the ability to mandate that everyone have insurance or pay a penalty. What the Government should be doing is cracking down on medicare and medicaid fraud, which is costing our country billions of dollars each year. If we could limit or eliminate the "carpool vans" who are bringing in all of the sick poor people to the sleezy Doctors, who in turn, are running ridiculous amounts of unwarranted tests, we could eliminate a major amount of healthcare cost.

Well, once again Washington is shoving the Unconstitutional Health care Bill down our throats. How can they force a person to buy health insurance, and if they can't, they are going to fine them. Sounds to me like it is time for the South to once again succeed from the Union. I am sick of my taxpaying dollars, paying for illegals in this country,when they should be sent back to where they came from. They, among others are draining our Social Security System dry,along with aid to dependent children,food stamps, etc. Our Emergency Rooms are full of people who don't have a regular doctor,so every time someone has a runny nose,they end up in the Emergency Room. I don't care what anyone says,the Comrade Obama/Pelosi bill,will put a heavy burden on our children and their future children. It passed 219-212, 7 votes,that how close it was. I hope all the States sue them over this bill. We will have to vote those 219 bums out of office,and put their tails in the System with the rest of us. Why should I pay for Health care when some will get it at my expense anyway, with the Govt paying for it.

y not if you were in that boat very sickly you would want someone to help you your supporting a war thats unecessary your paying for that i dont see were your compailning about that and the war is to fight foreginers. i dont see your point...

I'm willing to bet good money that a great deal of the complainers and worriers and Chicken Littles posting here are smokers, heavy drinkers, are obese, do not get enough exercise, have too much stress, or some combination of all of these. If it weren't for people like you, this whole health care "thing" would be a total non-issue. If we, as a people, were healthier, there would be less of a need for the Feds to step in. The sad fact...the TRUTH of the matter is that each of us must 1) take care of our own health, and 2) take care of our immediate family's needs. Do that, and then you earn the right to complain about something being "shoved down your throat." We've brought this upon ourselves (well I haven't, because I choose to be healthy.)

What about the 20 somethings that are in good health and choose not to have health insurance right now...or the well off who pay out of pocket. These folks should complain and not be fined for choosing not to buy health insurance.
Did you ever notice that the everyone seems to have a cell phone - which cost as much as a monthly health insurance premium on the higher end, and cheaper plans that the Free Market created for the less fortunate, not the Governmnet.
It should reamin the freedom of choice.
I choose to keep my money and my change in my pocket, and not pay for everyone elses health insurance.

Doctors and Insurance Companies Will Likely Say NO
Unless Uncle Sam is going to set up its own clinics and hospitals, most doctors and insurance companies will be rejecting pennies on the dollar Obamacare. Doctors will shift to a pay as go program without insurance. Only the very well off will be able to afford a doctor, the remainder will be lucky to a nurse.
Next will be education.

Where have you been?
I don't know about you, but almost every time I make an appointment to see my doctor, I end up seeing just a nurse anyway. Even with insurance, the deductibles are so high, people are avoiding doctors like the plague. We're ALREADY at the point where only the wealthy can get care. All it takes to financially ruin any one of us is one car accident or one cancer diagnosis and bankruptcy is almost certain.
