Give the Afican American a chance
All federal, state jobs do not help the economy.People who work for the gov just want the easy train. They do not have to worry about profits in operation a real business.Obama is a social worker not a business man.
Broad brush
Not ALL fed. employees are looking for a free ride. My wife works for the fed. and I can assure you the taxpayer is getting their moneys worth from her. However, there are enough of them that are riding the gravy train to cancel out her good work. The real question isnt if its stimulating, but if the price tag of the stimulus is worth it on the cost:benefit ratio. My answer in NO!!!!
the stimulus and tidewater
It seems like it's going to pork projects, other states, and to accomplish redistribution of wealth at taxpayer expense. When the government gives money away every Tom, Dick, and Harry will stand in line to get some, especially the non-taxpayers and political special interests. No Tidewater isn't keeping very much of the stimulus dollars in hand and the effects ares prolonging our recession.
military spending
The money for the military comes from the federal government too. So one could argue that is stimulus enough for this region. All military salaries are paid by the federal government.
bad question
If one dollar is spent here it's having an impact
The dollar came from your
The dollar came from your pocket.
