Town Point Market trims its schedule

Instead of hosting an outdoor arts, antiques and apparel market most Saturdays at Town Point Park, Festevents is cutting the schedule to single days at the end of each month between July and October.

The Town Point Saturday Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 31, Aug. 28, Sept. 25 and Oct. 30 at the TowneBank Fountain Park section of the park instead of most Saturdays through October. Vendors will offer jewelry, art, photography, antiques, green and Fair Trade items, clothing, pottery, candles, soaps and home decor.

Community groups and nonprofit organizations will have kiosks at the events, and Omar's Fountain Cafe will sell food.
