Weather radio on the fritz? Try again today

Weather radios in Hampton Roads stopped working Wednesday night because of a damaged transmitter that serves the area, said Dan Proch, a National Weather Service meteorologist in Wakefield.

He said the telephone company was working to repair the problem and that radios should be receiving alerts, advisories, watches and warnings again by sometime today.
