Police have arrested a 31-year-old Chesapeake man accused of a dozen sex crimes against a minor younger than 13.
Joseph Lee Simpson of the 2700 block of Ike St. is charged with eight counts of unlawful filming of a minor, two counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of indecent liberties with a child, according to a news release from the Chesapeake Police Department.
Simpson is accused of committing the crimes in December 2009 and January, court records show. He was arraigned Tuesday morning and is being held in the Chesapeake Correctional Center without bond.
He has worked various jobs across the Hampton Roads region and as far west as Danville, police said. Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Line at (888) LOCK-U-UP.
