Health Care
Have you ever worked 12 hours then on your way home been hit by a hit and run driver, almost killed, then sent home bruised black/blue, so sore you cannot stand alone, and cannot move without pain shooting through your body, because your job does not pay enough for you the luxury of health care? Talk to me about health care then. Until it happens to you is that why individuals do not understand it is not people sitting around collecting welfare checks, it is working individuals who cannot pay the astronomical cost! True story, it happened to me!
111th congress
This congress is likely to go down as the most dishonest, unethical, and damaging to the American economy in history.
I don't understand why
I don't understand why Americans would want to go back to the Republicans after they started all of these very costly($$$) wars and drove the economy into the ground with their "industry is always right" deregulation philosophy. Deregulation caused the real estate and financial mess we're in. I don't understand how "divided goverment" is good either. Most other nations have a parliamentary system where the ruling party gets to have their way while they're in power. This is how it should be and how you get things done. Divided government only results in stagnation, frustration, and no progress. If this is what Americans want, then they deserve exactly what wish for. With all the money spent on these Republican wars, we could have paid for health care for all uninsured Americans. Funny how the very people who support the wars, don't support raising taxes to pay for the wars. They would rather borrow money from China to run the wars. Some say "most Americans are stupid". I can now see whey they say that and I understand why most of the world hates America.
Just stop the spending!
Never thought I'd be for term limits, but I am now. Congressmen and women go to Washington to do good...and they do very well indeed. I'd roll back their salaries, benefits and pensions, after all they work for us! I'd shrink the size of government agencies, sell-off the post office to private enterprise. My rule would be, if the private sector can do the job better and cheaper, then the private sector should do it. I'd also dismantle the Department of Education and return the responsibilities back to the states where it belongs.
The party of "I wanthim to fail"
the party of "I want him to fail" by using the "Hell no" tactic has pretty well obstructed this congress. Then after holding up all kinds of legislation until n\they run out of time go ahead and vote for them. It is truly sad that the republicans are will to destroy the country in the guise of saving it. Only despots insist only they have all the answers.

I just found one of the twenty.
The bottom line is Congress,
The bottom line is Congress, as well as Washington in general, has become a spectacle. They don't read the bills the vote on, they spend more than they take in, they'd rather worry about whether Barry Bonds took steroids then the $2 trillion deficit they run each year and what do they do to stimulate job growth but print $800 billion which just madbe all our money worth less through inflation, further seperating the lower class from the upper class.
Gerald Celente said he fears a 2nd American revolution is brewing and he fears it will be more like the French revolution rather than the American revolution. I hope he is wrong, but with the way our Congressman and politicians act, is there another way out?
2nd Civil War
If there was an armed confrontation between Americans I beleive it would be a Civil War and not a revolution. We have elections coming up and while both parties have major flaws, the vote is our major way of sending messages to Congress. Please choose letters, email, phone calls, protest signs and NOT the gun to address your complaints.
The complaints you list are not worthy of an armed revolt.
Taking away our constitutional rights to freedom of choice, religion, association, assembly, right to privacy, etc. would warrant armed revolt. With the current make of the government these rights are safe. If the extreme right takes over then we are in trouble.
Storming the halls
Richard, you do realize the individual mandate in the Healthcare Reform Bill is a 'loss of freedom of choice', don't you? Shall we expect to see you storming the halls of Congress sometime soon then?
Armed confrontation
If there ever is an armed confrontation in America, how could the liberals possibly win? The conservatives have all the guns and bullets.
