Norfolk School Board to start consolidation, assess how many schools will close

Norfolk School Board Chair Sarah DiCalogero said the body plans to start the school closure process in the 2026-27 school year after a surprise City Council ultimatum issued this week.

First pitch Friday is 6:35 p.m., and the Tides and Durham play at 6:35 p.m. Saturday and 1:05 p.m. Sunday before Norfolk embarks on a road trip to Gwinnett.
