Hampton Roads Photography Contest 2010

The winners have been choosen! Find out who takes the cake this year.

Be sure to stop by the Best of 2010 photo gallery  to see all the other 1,500 photos that were entered this year.

 

The Details

  • Photos must be uploaded to the Best Photo of 2010 gallery by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2010.
  • Winners will be announced Jan. 15 in The Virginian-Pilot, and featured at PilotOnline.com and HamptonRoads.com on Jan. 17.
  • Photos need to have the theme of "people, events, things or places in Hampton Roads."
  • First, second and third place will be announced. Other top photos will be printed in The Daily Break on Jan. 15, 2010.
  • Be sure your PilotOnline.com user profile has up-to-date information so we can contact you if you win.

 

Prizes

  • First Place - $50 Target Gift Card and tickets to an upcoming movie premiere.
  • Second Place - $10 iTunes Gift Card and tickets to an upcoming movie premiere.
  • Third Place - $10 iTunes Gift Card
  • All names and winning photos will be featured in The Virginian-Pilot and at PilotOnline.com and HamptonRoads.com.

Yesterday I uploaded 6 photos for the contest, but they are not showing up in the gallery. I can see them when I go to my profile and click on "view your photos" but not in the main gallery of images for the contest. Did I not do something right?

I'm having the same problem! I uploaded 3 pictures this morning and I still can't see them in the gallery. But when I click on "view you photos" they all show up fine.

Posting pics for the 2010 photo contest

Okay, I've been searching for 20 minutes and can't find the link for uploading pics for this contest anywhere.
Can anyone please help? I see the link for uploading video. Is that the one for photos as well?

You can also find a link on each gallery and individual photos. It's to the right of the Community Galleries label and to the right of each headline on an individual photo.

Make sure you have the appropriate category selected for any and all photos you upload.
