Military service members let their hair down at inaugural ball
Many in the military are wondering what to expect from their new commander in chief, who's never worn a uniform and vows strategy changes. Still, about 2,000 celebrated at the Commander in Chief's Ball in D.C. Tuesday night.

Throughout area, people gather to savor history
In churches and beauty salons, coffee shops and funeral homes, break rooms and bars, they stopped to watch history happen. Grown-ups and kids, they watched, cheered and cried.
