Norfolk mayor lashes out after tunnel shutdown clogs traffic
8:49 pm - "Think about it: The entire region shut down ... because of one pump," Paul Fraim said this afternoon, as traffic crawled through one reopened westbound lane of the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Both lanes were closed in the morning after water collected in the tube and re-opened at 7:40 p.m.

Home sales swell and prices rise in April
Sales of existing homes picked up in South Hampton Roads in April, and home prices rose slightly as the spring selling season continued at a steady pace, according to a report released Friday. Real Estate Information Network Inc. released data showing that 841 homes sold last month, up 5.3 percent from March but 15.1 percent below the number sold in April 2008.
