As a retired police supervisor, should I have found one of my officers misusing and abusing his position like Mayor Holley, he would have been brought up on charges and fired immediately. Watching his interview on TV, I begin to wonder if Dr. Holley isn't suffering from senility. Mayor Holley RESIGN!
It's Detestable That An 82 Year Old African American...
Politician who was a noted civil rights activist & associate of Dr. Martin Luther King in his younger days, would be so blatantly cavalier & sexist in his attitudes that he would treat a civic employee & administrative aide as his personal Steppin’ Fetchit.
Perhaps as an Impeachment Gift, the good citizens of Portsmouth might wish to take up a collection to furnish Mayor Holley with a matching pair of Lawn Jockey statues.
I’m sure that would serve as a far more poignant & meaningful reminder to him of his outrageous breach of social & political ethics than a measly $2500 fine.
The citizens keep electing this type of leader.
This type of behavior from the Major of a city which would put Thema Drake in office over and over again does not surprise me. If the citizens of the cityof Portsmouth ontinue to re-elect both these people in the next elections then they deserve what they get.

People of P'town, wake up and smell the coffee. This man is not a leader. You should have seen this before yet you vote him in again. Anyone treating an employee has he is said to have, in the private sector, would have his personal effects packed and be escorted to his car.
