Should the Virginia Symphony Orchestra get an additional $240K from Va. Beach after its recent $500K loan from Norfolk?

Norfolk Taxpayers Ponied up $500K.
Does that entitle us to use the swanky new VIP lounge at Chrysler Hall, or is that just for the well-heeled symphony patrons who can't afford to support their orchestra? By the way ... can I get some taxpayers to help me pay for my Norfolk Admirals season tickets?
Bad question
Well, that question is about as misleading as it gets. The question is "should they be paid $240K for 10 performance two of which are free and have no ticket sales."
va symphony
If the symphony can't turn a profit without subsidization, maybe it's not a necessary asset to the economic survival of this state.
Really
I'm looking for the tree, bush, magical fountain......where is all the money flowing from.....I want to scoop up a bucket, or rake a few leaves, or I will show up at the garden of money and do a little community service in exchange for a bushel money.
Where is all
the money growing?
Virginia Symphony Bailout-again!
Why don't we hear how other performing groups at the Sandler Center are doing? They all get grants from the city-how are they holding up? I think the Virginia Symphony does too many performances in too many venues, and obviously isn't planning them well financially! The players are paid too low for their abilities also! If they are funded by the cities they perform in, we as taxpayers should be able to see more of how they spend our money! We need the arts in Virginia Beach, but we need fiscal responsibility.
