I did watch
not all of McCain or Gov Palin's speech, and I got sick of listening to the bashing of Obama and Biden. I heard lots of words and tacky comments aimed at cutting Obama off at the knees. Inspired? Well, I guess I was and I don't want 4 more years of the SAME. Over 90% support of Bush, a hothead that needs anger management, against sex education, bans books in libraries, against Rov v Wade, and I could go on and on. BTW you didn't have to watch McCain's speech to already know he was gong to say the same things he has for the past 20 years.
McCain insired me to vote for him instead of Bob Barr
If you did not watch either speech then you have absolutely no business posting a comment here. Just select "I didn't watch it" and move right along. When you post and did not watch it you just expose to everyone just how closed-minded and shallow you are. So spare the inteligent people your hyperbol, be a good liberal and find something else to cry about.
I thought McCain did an excelent job. I'm not a fan of McCain, but he did inspire me. Did you know that he was an open critic of how the war was handled? Did you know that he openly opposed the way Rumsfield was micro-managing the details? Did you know that he has been very outspoken about Bush's mismanagement? Of course you didn't know. You're too busy salivating on DailyKos and MoveOn.org.
McCain - Palin
A Gentleman and a Lady of the highest grace, humility, and strength humble and conservative Americans can be proud of. I look forward to November 4th. It will be a great Honor to vote for this ticket. Civility and Respect will return in America and we will stand with them like a stone wall.
Change?
The authoritarian, anti-liberty, big government, big brother, conservative socialist Republicans seem desperate.
Republican Convention
Did anybody notice those signs being wave by those people in the convention? It say "COUNTRY FIRST." By golly, since 2001, the Republicans are taking care of Iraq, Afghanistan and now the US is helping Georgia, the country Russia invaded. Is that what they meant?
Name Calling
What is it about GOP supporters that have to resort to name calling when they post? That's an old schoolyard trait, not an adult one. I think the party that exhibits the most intelligence and talks about Real Policy Change deserves to win the White House. Nuff said!
McSame?
John McCain has been in Congress for 22 years and has changed nothing. He votes with the Bush and the Neocons more than 90% of the time and took great pains at the convention that no one took a picture of him with Bush! If he is elected, the only change you can expect to see is 4 more years of the same failed policies, with Karl Rove dancing behind the curtain!
"free stuff,"
increase taxes, and name calling is so typically Republican, that you can't expect a comment from them about Obama without it. Very sad! Very ill informed!
The "RIGHT" stuff.
Anybody know the difference between a whining pit bull puppy and the whining republicans.
Answer- the pit bull puppy stops whining.
The speech...
I take it that the usual suspects did not like the speech because he did not promise "free" stuff like Charlie NObama Falk. If you are that inclined to believe a Billy Mays wannabe, I guess your man is NObama. I found McCains speech rather inspiring in that the message was personal responsibility, the continued need to develop opportunity, selfless service to ones country, realistic domestic energy policies and the need to splinter the washington penchant for socialist endeavors for starters. Those that complain that he was not specific should compare his speech to NObamas. NObama can't explain one iota of his dreamster prophecy with the exception of "I will tax the rich and hand out free money to everyone else". We all know what NObama's true agenda is but he is more than unwilling to divulge what it is. We can all remember Clintons inane promise to do the same but guess who ended up being "rich". Can you say 32k household income? BTW, why wasn't there an "excellent" option like the same poll for NObamas speech..Hmmmmm
glad to see I'm not the only one
So what if McCain was a POW, that doesn't qualify him as president. Palin qualifies the pair even less.
Better than a sleeping Pill
God! This guy is borrring! We got it already! You were a pow. Ok for the trillionth time! By the way Grampa, there is no country called "CZESLOVAKIA"!
Another life time story
Nothing, nada, nothing on policy, nothing on economy, nothing on immigration, nothing on the deficit, nothing but going back 35 years ago as a pow. Grampa needs to get out more and start doing his job!!
same ole same ole
I watched the redskins lose, and looked at the weather channel. I have two words, very boring on the speech...Mcain for change..get real
Change has arrived
I am absolutely ecstatic over this years election!!! America is about to get its first woman vice president and they are going to shake the corrupt washington lawyers out of congress. I can't wait to be a part of the REVOLUTION.
Less than impressed
Both speeches, Palin's and McCain's, put me to sleep, and I fell asleep during the Obama speech last week. Nothing of substance will change regardless of our choice in November.
why would I watch mccain?
So I can listen to the same bull/hype, and watch balloons fly? No thanks, I'd rather watch the weather channel about Hanna.
McCain ???
20 years in Washington and, it's just now kicking in that we need change ???
