TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- A Florida judge tired of seeing inmates' underwear because of sagging orange pants decided to take action this week.
Circuit Judge Daniel Perry delayed court for an hour and a half Wednesday, as he ordered the 61 inmates on his docket back to jail so that a handful of them could change into better-fitting -- if not as fashionable -- bottoms.
According to a court transcript, Perry said he did not want to see people "with their rear ends hanging out of their pants." He added: "We're done."
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reminded deputies of proper sizing methods for inmates and some spare pants were also delivered to the courthouse

If I wanted to see a guys underwear I would pull down his pants myself. If you wear your pants sagging expect to be sterotyped as ignorant, because it looks like you have no sense. I can't stand it, and I grew up when this trend was just getting started. I'm 23 and still think it looks ridiculous!!

these kids are just trying to get attention...what a shame that they feel they have to go that far...perhaps they are just following in the female footsteps to a degree...i cant help but notice how the shorts/skirts worn by young girls have gotton dangerously short...im thinking that the guys are using their underwear as the shock factor, while the girls are using the bottoms of their butt cheeks...both are indecent, but id be willing to bet that the boys wont get raped for their show...maybe the law should include that as well...may protect some girls from getting alot more than they bargained for...sad...

This isn't about fashion. It's about decency. We're talking about underwear, not outer wear. If men can expose their underwear and it's considered freedom of expression, what would happen if women did it? It would be considered Indecent Exposure.

What fashion law will we pass next - women shall not wear short sleeves shirts or skirts? I do not like the baggy pants but it is not hurting me or anyone. We do not need our elected officials telling us what we can and can not wear.

Our government exists to protect our freedoms, not take them away. Until we elect more Libertarians into our government we can only exppect more intrusions into our private lives and our freedom. This November you can vote for Bill Redpath for U.S. Senate (VA) and Bob Barr for President. Both are Libertarians that will stand with you in the defense of Liberty and Freedom. If you keep elected "D"s and "R"s you will keep suffering more loss of Liberty and Freedom.

Let's ban wearing hats inside of restaurants and other public establishment. It's a real eyesore when I'm sitting in a restaurant and some guy won't take his ball cap hat off. A real gentleman only wears hats outside.

It amazes me that these idiots get away with screaming about racial profiling and being held down by society. Our "Anything Goes" society is in deep trouble. I was walking into a 7-11 last week and saw one of these morons with the waistband of his jeans completely below his butt, exposing his underwear. That's ridiculous. It's offensive and they should be fined. There are tasteful ways of expressing your fashion sense and this isn't one of them. Get a clue: underwear was meant to be worn under the clothes.
The POINT is that this is a statement to the American Youth of any Race, creed, ethnic background that OBSCENE behavior will NOT be tolerated.
Its shows a slow slide of our morals..............what's next? Our Teen-Age Daughters baring their breast's w/ Baggy tops ?
Another point ? I was working on my house and had a bandana to wipe sweat.............neighborhood kids all saying I was in a gang JUST because I was wiping sweat w/ a bandana? Wouldnt it have been just too ironic if I was SHOT in my driveway JUST because I was using a bandana for the very purpose for which it's designed ?
The judge will make you pull your pants up!
