On veterans' benefits, Obama was an early co-sponsor of Virginia Sen. Jim Webb's new GI Bill, passed by Congress in June, which provides tax funds to pay college tuition bills for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans...
McCain opposed the Webb bill as it was moving through Congress, arguing that it was too expensive and would give troops an incentive to leave the service. When the measure was voted on in the Senate, McCain was on the campaign trail and did not vote....
Largely because of his absence on those votes, McCain was given a D on his Senate voting record by the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, an advocacy group. Obama got a B...
Another group, the Disabled American Veterans, gave McCain a 20 percent score on its most recent Senate voting scorecard. Obama scored 80 percent.

So NObama (Keep the Change) served PART of one term in the US Senate, does that qualify him for anything? He hasn't even done what the voters asked him to do, represent them.

You and your dad can vote for who you want but don't be disrespectful of McCains POW time! If your dad was a senator like McCain is, then he probably would be eligible for the Presidential nomination. As a matter of fact, your dad probably is more experienced than Obama!

I agree most with General/President Dwight David Eisenhower, who said so many years ago: "In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military/industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together". "Disarmament, with mutual honor and confidence, is a continuing imperative. Together we must learn how to compose differences, not with arms, but with intellect and decent purpose".
Who do his words most remind you of: McCain....or Obama?

I was shot, and captured also back in Nam....but I was rescued and evac'd in less than a month....McCain is a hero, yes, but he was a maverick pilot, a hot rodder and it took the military 6 years with him as a LtCmdr BEFORE they sent him to 'nam??? Someone obviously thought he was ill prepared....People...read his psych eval issued BEFORE he went to nam.....It will make you thjink twice about opting for him as presidential material. Hes a good man, a hero...but psych wise...he nor palin should be in such a position of power

Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party candidate for President, has the right idea on military issues. Unlike John McCain and Barak Obama he has promised to bring our troops home from around the world and end unconstitutional, undeclared wars. He has also promised to get the United States out of the UN and the UN out of the United States. This will keep our troops from serving under a foreign flag. This Tuesday, I will proudly cast my vote for Chuck Baldwin for President.

That is grounds for court marshall. Somebody tell me exactly how Mccain is better for the military? Please don't say the surge because Sarg don't feel the same way nor do the majority of military Chiefs who support Obama. Please don't say the funding on defense of the last eight years because the lion share went to private contractors and not our enlisted. I can tell you one thing to all our military men and women; if you did not care for the way you were treated under Bush you are not going to like Mccain either.I would just ask you to research this question for yourselves.
I'm Joe the plumber and
and like many other "Joe's" I'm voting for Obama/Biden.

Both McCain and Obama are wrong on military issues

Fat cat crooked government contractors love McCain.
Is that what you call supporting the military and defending the constitution?
Mccain spent that time as POW because he disobeyed direct orders
