Like the ad nauseum commercial says "Judge him by his deeds" Obviously Mr McDonnell is a flip flopper and takes on a public personna that benefits his campaign needs....not unlike other politicians...

Really, who cares about McDonnell's thesis from 20 years ago.The Free-Thinkers-In-Lockstep didn't care about Webb's drill rifle improprieties,Bill Clinton's past deeds,or the lack of any previous record of the current President.Move on.In essence,he merely said that it was a good thing for somebody to be there for children when they are young. Not everybody can afford that, but if you can, what's so evil about raising the children you popped out?We managed what the liberals would call a role reversal,in their odd nomenclature, but somebody was with our children at home when they were young.Their teachers said they knew the difference in about 5 minutes of the first day of class.Day care simply isn't the best choice, and pre-K is a disaster for parent-child bonding. There is an unavoidable truth in the argument for having a parent raise their own child. So,unless you're a close minded free-thinker-in-lockstep,move on to real issues.Like Cree Deeds spending spree in the legislature.

Many college students/graduates will tell you that not all papers they write truly reflect their beliefs. I've had to write several papers that were in opposition to my personal beliefs. Why? The topics were assigned.

Are you saying Bob lied when he wrote the paper? It is a church school and I'd be more likely to believe he actually believed in the things he wrote at age 34 than not. IMO: folks don't go to CBN to lie.
Times change but at 34, I've got to believe he ment what he wrote. He wasn't some 20 year old college kid...

Surprise, surprise. Religious dogma from a middle-aged theocrat who learned law from a faith-based institution and would judge your behavior like we are still in the old testament era.
No, no, no. We no longer stone women either.

I live in Virginia Beach and work in Portsmouth and sometimes the Jordan Bridge was a convenient way to cross over, but it always stuck in my craw that they asked me to pay seventy five cents to do it. If the plan to enact a three dollar toll on the new span is approved I vow to drive all the way to Rt 17 and drive through Deep Creek rather than pay the 3 bucks to cross over the replacement bridge. If a significant number of drivers are equally indignant, how much longer will it take to pay for the new span and how much longer will citizens going from one side to the other be beholden to the contractor who dreamed up this lucrative scheme?
as my life has evolved. I used to buy into the belief that gays shouldn't be allowed to serve in the military, or marry. I don't hold those views now. Am I a phony and a hypocrite? Not that I care as to how some here may answer that, but views CAN change as time goes by. For example, I wonder how Senator Webb feels about women serving in the military now? His record from a few decades ago is quite adamant about that. Does he still believe that? Much of what McDonnell said in the thesis I believe as well. The main nod I'd give to political correctness is that kids no doubt benefit from having a PARENT staying home and being available to and for them, not so much just the Mom doing so. The laws are quite clear about pay discrimination, so passing more laws to address a situation that has already been addressed by the Legislature is a dumb move, and he acted accordingly there. If McDonnell let's this paper become a negative for him and lets his oppopnents wrongly define him, then he will deserve to lose. He has nothing to hide from here, so he shouldn't.

We don't need this kind of extremism in the state of Virginia. bob mc donnell is too divisive and religious. He pretends to care so much about an unborn child ,but after they're born he will abandone them in a heart beat.
How much do you want to bet ...
... that most of the "Yes, I will not support him now" responders weren't going to support him, anyway?
I'm one of them, but
I wonder how many in the "no, it makes no difference" vote weren't going to vote for him anyway.
Judge him by his Deeds
