A 19-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with an incident Thursday night that left another teenager hospitalized with multiple stab wounds.
The 16-year-old boy was flown to the trauma center at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he remained in stable condition Friday, police said.
The name of the victim was not released.
Lt. Debbie George, a police spokeswoman, said the incident occurred just before 8 p.m. in the 100 block of Hillside Ave.
The youth was involved in some sort of altercation with others that led to him being "stabbed several times," George said.
The Nightingale helicopter ambulance was called in to fly him to Norfolk.
Jerra Cordero Ford of the 2000 block of Nansemond Parkway was arrested Friday and charged with one count each of aggravated malicious wounding and shooting, cutting or stabbing in connection with Thursday night’s incident.
