Two tied at 5-under at Kingsmill; Sorenstam, Ochoa in hot pursuit

WILLIAMSBURG

Diana D’Alessio, a non-winner in eight years on the LPGA Tour, was at 5-under after 16 holes this morning in the opening round of the $2.2 million Michelob Ultra Open at Kingsmill. D’Alessio found herself tied for the lead with Mhairi McKay, who reached 5-under after 12 holes.

Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam was 4-under at the turn and the world’s top-ranked player, Lorena Ochoa, eagled the par-5 seventh to reach 3-under.
