Production problem causes late newspaper delivery

NORFOLK

A production problem caused Virginian-Pilot newspapers to be delivered late this morning to homes and businesses across the company's circulation area.

The late delivery was caused by a page transmission problem between the paper's Norfolk office and production facility in Virginia Beach, according to an e-mail sent to employees this morning by the paper's circulation director.

All newspapers should be delivered by 9:30 a.m., the e-mail said.
