Chesapeake man charged in arson at his home

A Chesapeake man has been charged with setting fire to his mobile home in the 2000 block of Ike Street last week.

Mike Mosley, 30, was charged by the Chesapeake Fire Marshal’s Office with arson, a felony that carries five years to life in prison, according to a news release from the fire department.

The fire occurred around 5 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters worked to keep the fire from spreading to neighboring trailers.

Chesapeake fire investigators initially said the cause of the fire was accidental.

Mosley turned himself in to investigators, the news release said.
