SUFFOLK

Police are investigating an early morning shooting in the 200 block of Pine Street.

After responding to calls of multiple gunshots fired at 3 a.m., police found Demetrius Dontrail Golden, 24, standing on the front porch of his home, shot in his right side. He was transported to Norfolk Sentara General Hospital. His injuries are serious, but are not considered life-threatening, said spokeswoman Debbie George.

One of the bullets from the episode was recovered at Suffolk Fire and Rescue headquarters on Market Street. No one was in the building at the time of the incident, George said.
