NORFOLK

Police on Saturday identified a 23-year-old Norfolk man as the victim in a late night shooting Friday.

Dawan Floyd, of the 6300 block of Wellington St., died as paramedics drove him to the hospital, said Chris Amos, spokesman for Norfolk police.

Officers found Floyd when they responded to a call of shots fired about 11:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Balview Avenue in Ocean View, Amos said.

Police have no suspects in the shooting, and the motive is not known, he said.
