NO. 7 | MARIO ROWSON
IN SUMMARY | WHAT MAKES Rowson GREAT
Rowson had been in the shadows of teammate Travis Williams, but not any more. He went up to the University of Maryland for its combine and impressed coaches so much that he left with a scholarship offer.
Rowson runs 4.4 in the 40. He benches 310 pounds and lifts 185 pounds 15 times. He’s strong with a wide frame.
His best attribute is his ability to jam receivers at the line of scrimmage. It not only frustrates the receiver but makes it difficult for them to get open.
“You just don’t find corners that big,” Titans coach Hank Sawyer said. He’s got great hands and excellent closing speed. Rowson has committed to Maryland.
