The statistics reflect the most accurate public high school four-year graduation rates ever reported in Virginia, according to the state education department. This database shows the number of discipline, crime and violence incidents reported by local school divisions in the 2006-07 school year.
The data is self-reported by local school officials to state officials; school division superintendents are required to verify the accuracy of those reports.

Under the federal No Child Left Behind Act, schools are measured each year to see if they made adequate yearly progress based on scores on state tests – in Virginia, the Standards of Learning. To “make AYP” a school must pass on all measures.
