Baylor prof to lead ODU business school

A Baylor University professor has been named the next dean of Old Dominion University's Strome College of Business.
John F. "Jeff" Tanner, a professor of marketing and founder of the Baylor Business Collaboratory, will take over as dean at Old Dominion on May 25. At the Business Collaboratory, he has helped arrange and raise money for joint research with local businesses.

The verdict: Monarch fans had a whole lot of pent up tailgating talent. When they finally got a football team, they unleashed that talent with delicious fury.

It's an aperitif of sorts for Old Dominion University's 37th annual Literary Festival, which has a culinary theme this year and a blockbuster lineup of speakers and readers that I'm honored to be a part of.

Blog: Mayo runs a 4.27

   Former Old Dominion Monarch Deron Mayo is up to 230 pounds -- which seems a lot for a 5-foot-11 frame -- but it hasn't slowed him down.    Participating in a mini-camp for the Calgary Stampeders on Monday, Mayo ran a 4.38 in the 40-yard dash.    Turned out that was just his warm-up 40. Mayo flashed a 4.27 in the 40 on his second go.
