Word out of the Super Bowl is that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is interested in hosting "Saturday Night Live."

Rodgers said on his weekly radio show that he talked to some cast members from "SNL" while in Indianapolis and is hopeful. (He also said Tuesday he still stands by his comments on the Pro Bowl, by the way.)

The reigning American League MVP and Cy Young Award winner nailed it when he said the New York Giants would beat the New England Patriots.

New England quarterback Tom Brady's wife, who had asked for positive energy and prayer before the Super Bowl, apparently had none left after the Patriots' 21-17 loss to the New York Giants.

Gisele Bundchen became bitter in defeat.

Pray for New England quarterback Tom Brady in the Super Bowl, because Giants linebacker Dave Tollefson will be coming after him with the fear of Tollefson's mom blazing in his eyes.

Brady's wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, reportedly sent an email to family and friends last week, asking them to pray for him. The New York Post said it went like this:
 

Tim Tebow is shirtless in an advertisement for Jockey underwear, but he's wearing pants.

"Some things are better when left to the imagination," a Jockey spokesman told The Huffington Post. Another company official added that Tebow has been good for business.

Professionally, the 30-year-old Welker had a career year for the Patriots, with 122 catches for 1,569 yards and nine touchdowns in the regular season.

The host committee's logo for the 2014 Super Bowl features a snowflake. That's appropriate, as it will be the first Super Bowl played outside at a cold-weather venue.

It makes no difference to us because we'll be watching from the warmth of our hive, but in case you were wondering: Average temperatures in February in East Rutherford, N.J., home to MetLife Stadium, are 24 to 40 degrees.

A Super Bowl ring lost four decades ago off Waikiki will soon be returned to former New York Jets center John Schmitt.

KGMB-TV in Honolulu reports that a Honolulu family wants to return the ring to Schmitt, who earned the ring when the Jets upset the Baltimore Colts in the 1969 Super Bowl.

"It really is a miracle, you know," Schmitt told the TV station.
