By Chic Riebel
The Virginian-Pilot
SUFFOLK
After sinking a 5-foot par putt that wrapped up Eastern Region tournament medalist honors Tuesday, Moss Clark made his way up a small hill from the 18th green at Sleepy Hole.
Everyone wanted to make contact with the Cox senior - teammates, opponents, spectators. A hug. A handshake. A slap on the back.

Say G'Day to Beach's PGA Tour rookie

VIRGINIA BEACH
Should you bump into Marc Leishman sometime soon at the beach, his preferred local golf course, Virginia Beach National, or strolling through Town Center with his fiancee, feel free to offer the PGA Tour rookie star a hearty "Good going, bloke!"
It would be the neighborly thing to do. Because while it's true he's from Australia, Leishman is also one of us now.

Kellam's Trey Smith worked all summer to become a better golfer.
It wasn't long before Smith - and the rest of the state - saw just how much he had improved.
Smith's 2-foot par putt in a one-hole playoff last month earned him medalist honors in the Virginia High School Invitational in Midlothian.
