Regional win keeps string going for angling group

Even though it is just 3 years old, the North Carolina East Division of Fishers of Men has enjoyed enough angling success for a lifetime. In its first year as a member of the national Christian-theme angling organization, members of North Carolina East won the East Regional title. Earlier this year, Mike Post of Gates and Kevin Jones of Ahoskie won the national championship.

It's going to be a huge weekend for two of southeastern Virginia's top largemouth bass anglers. Rick Morris of Virginia Beach and Barbara Gaskins of Suffolk are competing in two national championship tournaments. Morris is the No. 5 seed headed into Friday's start of the Professional Angler's Association Texas Bass Classic - the PAA's version of the Bassmaster Classic.
