ATLANTA An NFL official said an arbitrator has decided to let the league's salary cap reductions against the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins stand. NFL executive vice president Jeffrey Pash said Tuesday at owners' meetings in Atlanta that arbitrator Stephen Burbank ruled in the league's favor in the salary cap dispute.

LOS ANGELES More than 60 former NFL players have filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles, joining hundreds of others who claim pro football didn't properly protect its players from concussions. Lead plaintiff Art Monk played wide receiver for the Washington Redskins from 1980 to 1993, and says in the lawsuit filed last week that he suffered multiple concussions in that time.

ASHBURN, Va. The Washington Redskins have signed fifth-round draft pick Adam Gettis of Iowa. Gettis is a guard chosen with the 141st overall selection. He started all 13 games at right guard for Iowa last year and was a second-team All-Big 10 selection by the conference's coaches. The Redskins announced the signing Saturday, the second day of their rookie camp.
