The sturdy Chincoteaque ponies of the Eastern Shore weathered last week&#039;s tropical storm, but their habitat took a beating.
The 150 ponies on Assateague Island sought high ground Thursday and Friday when wind and rain lashed the barrier island, felling trees, moving tons of sands and flooding parking lots.

&lt;p&gt;A restaurant on Lankford Highway was destroyed this morning by fire, officials said. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The fire at The Captain&amp;rsquo;s Deck restaurant was reported shortly before 5 a.m., according to&amp;nbsp;Northampton County&#039;s Emergency Medical Services department.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
