VIRGINIA BEACH Kelly Bradley took a break from her 4-mile run this morning and downed six Krispy Kreme doughnuts and two jugs of milk, despite what she knew her physical trainer will have to say about it Monday. She would have liked to have eaten a full dozen, she said, but just couldn’t cram that many.

Soon after moving into their dream home in 1975, Chet and Barbara Ehrenzeller heard a knock at the door while preparing Thanksgiving dinner.
It was Furman Dey, the only son of John B. Dey, for whom a nearby elementary school is named. The younger Dey had sold them the home and moved to a Norfolk retirement community.

Beach to begin selecting Villanueva's replacement

VIRGINIA BEACH Engineers, a School Board member, and civic and business leaders have lined up to finish Councilman Ron Villanueva's term. On Tuesday, the City Council will launch discussions about appointing the replacement for the newly elected state delegate. The actual appointment is unlikely to occur until January, Vice Mayor Louis Jones said.

Police ID woman fatally hit by minivan in Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH Police identified today the woman who died this week after being struck by a minivan as 54-year-old Scarlet A. Harvell. Harvell, who is originally from Florida, was here helping take care of her grandchildren, said her sister-in-law, Shirley Harvell. She declined to comment further.
