Va. police investigating voter fraud by felons

RICHMOND Virginia State Police are investigating whether any felons illegally voted in last November's election. Police and election officials aren't saying how many possible offenders are under investigation. Election officials say the investigation was prompted by questions raised by the recent indictment of two people in a Louisa County voter-fraud case.

McDonnell said after a veterans rally with Arizona Sen. John McCain that he remains firmly opposed to energy legislation intended to slow global warming by reducing carbon emissions into the atmosphere.

McCabe, 51, was first elected as a Republican, won re-election as an independent, and then won re-election as a Democrat. He is running as a Democrat again this election.

Incumbent Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling has his third campaign commercial of the election running in television markets across Virginia. His newest ad labels his Democratic opponent, Jody Wagner, a spendthrift who has supported higher taxes and will continue to if elected. It will run in Hampton Roads, northern Virginia, Richmond and Roanoke.
